2015 Summer Shakespeare Intensive

The 2015 Summer Shakespeare Intensive will culminate with a public performance of two, one-hour versions of Shakespeare’s plays, Love’s Labor’s Lost, directed by Ray Chambers,and The Tempest, directed by Vivia Font on Monday, August 10 at 7:00 p.m. The four-week program is a unique opportunity for local high school actors and actresses to refine their skills as performers in a professional setting. Throughout the Intensive, the students have the chance to study classical theatre technique, voice, movement and stage combat while observing the productions of the Globe’s Shakespeare Festival, which runs concurrently with the program. Festival company members are able to lend the students insights into the art of performing Shakespeare that they then apply to their own performances of the Bard’s work.
